Alize Living: an aromatherapy storefront built around scent and intention
Alize Living sells 100% pure, USA-organic essential oils for aromatherapy, and the storefront had to translate frankincense, lavender, and an astrology-led ritual into something shoppable on Shopify.
The brief
Alize Living's catalog is organized two ways at once: by scent family (Citrus, Floral, Herbal, Woody) and by wellness need (Stress Relief, Relaxation, Balance and Harmony, Digital Detox). A buyer might arrive wanting calm, or wanting lavender, or wanting a gift. The challenge was a Shopify theme that honors the brand's spiritual, pharmacy-rooted voice while letting both kinds of shopper find a bottle without friction.

- A spiritual, aspirational tone (frankincense as a mystical elixir) that most stock themes flatten into clinical product cards
- Hair Growth Elixir oils, Aromatherapy and Astrology, and Gifts and Sets all needed their own merchandising space, not a single catch-all grid
What I built
Gencer built a fully custom Shopify theme that runs both taxonomies side by side. A Shop by Need menu surfaces the wellness collections (Wellness, Stress Relief, Relaxation, Nature's Energy, Winter Glow), while an Essential Oils menu groups bottles by Citrus, Floral, Herbal, and Woody scent families. Custom Liquid sections carry the brand's elixir language onto every product page, and dedicated layouts handle the Hair Growth Elixir line, the Aromatherapy and Astrology feature, and Gifts and Sets.
